Seeds of Change

I’ve been bipolar stable for a month now. I’ve been alcohol free for ten days. I’ve felt a shift in the way I approach things. I am treating my body to a healthy way of eating, and gentle movement. I’m honoring friends I have lost by behaving in ways they would be proud of.

I have tuned into my anger as a lesson. It’s teaching me that I deserve to take up space, express my feelings and receive validation. With that realization came tears, for all the times I have turned away from the person I was angry with and towards someone else, instead of sitting in the feelings and speaking directly, with vulnerability.

I know I am not where I want to be yet, as I am plagued with doubt about what I have to offer, how much courage I have to speak authentically, and where this new path is taking me. I keep making art daily, as the process has become my meditation as well as my connection to the people in my world.

Today I sold this artwork after posting it on Facebook, and I was very thrilled. It gave me momentum to revamp my artist website, making it more user friendly for people who would like to buy my art. I have a buyer interested in another piece, so I am inspired to keep going, and see where it takes me. I’m so excited!
